Bed Painting

around here, when you want something done, you've just got to do it yourself.

she is determined to get a room ready for herself.

she's been sanding and priming and painting a little hand-me-down bed for the last few days.

all by herself.

Spring Art

all five children are home this week. the schools are out for spring break.

it takes a few days for everyone to adjust to being together all day long. (meaning squabbles, fights, and arguments.) but by the end of the week, i hate to see everyone go back to school.

we do so much together: play, work, craft, paint, clean, weed, sew, water, garden, hike, bike. it always ends up going by too quickly. so for now, i'm going to enjoy the moment!

Birthday PowWow

they were supposed to turn out like these cupcakes. they did not.

probably because after i demolished all but four sugar cones, and then having those four sugar cones topple over in the oven, i was done. so they turned out like this:

luckily, the headbands turned out.

Fall Break Painting

remind me that when i get the idea to let my children help me paint something in our home i need to:

1. not think i can paint at the same time
2. not answer the phone and talk to my sister


i decided to paint a wall last week while the childs were home for fall break. the inspiration for the workroom is this photo. i am loving yellow.
